Newark Liberty International Airport Car Rental
Car rental offices at Newark Airport are located in the Rental Car Center, between Terminal A and Terminal C. You can reach the Rental Car Center free of charge via the AirTrain, which runs from every terminal at the airport. An international driver’s license, passport, and credit card are required for car rental. Most companies have a minimum age requirement of 21. The airport has offices for international car rental companies such as Avis, Enterprise, Hertz, Budget, National, and Alamo.

There are three main terminals at Newark Airport: Terminal A, Terminal B, and Terminal C. Terminal A is primarily used for domestic flights. There are three concourses here (A1, A2, A3). Terminal B hosts both domestic and international flights. Terminal C serves as the main hub for United Airlines. This terminal primarily handles international flights. Connections between terminals are provided by the AirTrain or shuttle buses. There are no walkways between terminals. Each terminal has duty-free shops, restaurants, cafes, lounges, baggage storage services, and free WiFi.
Parking
Short-term parking areas are located close to all three terminals. These parking areas operate on an hourly rate system. Daily parking fees range from approximately $35-45 for Terminals A, B, and C, and the first 30 minutes are usually free. Short-term parking areas are designed for passenger drop-offs and pick-ups and short waits. It is difficult to find a space in these parking areas during peak hours. Long-term parking is divided into three categories: Economy, Long Term, and Premium. Economy parking costs $18-25 per day. Long Term parking costs $25-35 per day. Premium parking costs $35-45 per day. Shuttle service is available from the long-term parking areas to the terminals. You can make an online reservation for a parking space.
Transit Options
- There are taxi stands in front of each of the three terminals at Newark Airport. You can reach Manhattan by taxi for a fare of $50-75. To take a taxi, you must first get in line at the taxi stand inside the terminal. During busy flight times, there may be long lines for taxis. For VIP transfer service, you must make a reservation in advance. Luxury vehicles typically charge between $100-200 for service to Manhattan. VIP transfer services use luxury vehicles such as Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series. Taxi and VIP Transfer services are available 24 hours a day. When making a reservation, don't forget to confirm the company's meeting point at the EWR terminal.

How do I get to Newark Airport from Manhattan?
To get to the airport from Midtown Manhattan, you can take the NJ Transit or Amtrak train from New York Penn Station. Get off at Newark Liberty International Airport Station and then take the free AirTrain to the terminals. The total travel time, including transfers, is 30-45 minutes.
If you are coming to the airport by private vehicle, follow the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95) and local directions to the airport. You should follow the Exit 14/13A/14 directions. There are signs for the airport along the way. Buses such as the Newark Airport Express run regularly from the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
