Baggage Claim at Newark Airport

Newark Airport is one of New Jersey’s busiest airports. There are three terminals at this airport: Terminal A, Terminal B, and Terminal C. Each terminal has baggage claim areas.

Terminal A

Airlines: Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue

Baggage Claim Area: Located on the ground floor of Terminal A. There are separate baggage claim areas for domestic and international flights. Check the screens in the terminal to find out which area your baggage will be delivered to. There are multiple baggage carousels in the baggage claim area at Terminal A. Check your flight arrival information to find out which carousel is yours.

Terminal B

Airlines: Alaska Airlines, British Airways, Lufthansa, Swiss, United Airlines

Baggage Claim Area: Located on the ground floor of Terminal B. There are separate baggage claim areas for domestic and international flights. There are multiple baggage carousels in the baggage claim area in Terminal B. You can check the screens to find out which carousel is yours by entering your flight number.

Terminal C

Airline: United Airlines

Baggage Claim Area: Located on the ground floor of Terminal C. There are separate baggage claim areas for domestic and international flights. There are multiple baggage carousels in the baggage claim area at Terminal C.

You can use the AirTrain to transfer between terminals. The AirTrain is a free monorail system connecting the terminals and parking areas. The AirTrain runs every 5 minutes.

The terminal where your baggage will be delivered depends on your flight’s departure point and airline. Baggage carousel numbers are announced along with your flight’s arrival information. You can find out which baggage carousel to collect your luggage from by checking your flight’s arrival information. The baggage delivery time varies depending on flight traffic and security checks. The waiting time is usually between 20 and 30 minutes. There are free baggage carts available for use in the baggage claim areas.
